Welcome to A Taste of Battle

outside a taste of battleFor the past 3 years A Taste of Battle has had new owners. Nicolas Georgiou and Maria Vakis Georgiou both having 25 years of catering experience, which has contributed in a major way to the improvement of the restaurant / tea room. Cakes and scones are freshly made daily with some organic ingredients and baked in our industrial ovens. A wide selection of coffee is also available made with the best Colombian coffee beans which are ground in the state of the art coffee machines. An added extra is the water filtered before it enters the machines which adds to the taste.

Great care and attention is taken in the preparation of the food menu . The majority of food cooked is of local produce with organic and free range products. Simplicity and freshness is the key to the success and improvement of the restaurant / tearoom.

The service and friendliness of the staff and management is of a very high standard.

A Taste of Battle is a historic building

dating back to the 15th Century with most of its original features, making it a Grade 2 listed building. This gives the restaurant / tearoom that warm feeling.

As both owners are of Cypriot origin, food is very passionate to both of them . This gave them the idea to set up a Cypriot meze night which has never been done in Battle before. This has become a very successful evening which takes place once a month, usually at the end of each month. Please call 01424 774204 as dates may vary
